Just when I thought that the school I had applied to this fall had forgotten about me, I recieved a nice little letter in the mail, inviting me to come for an interview.

I had just gotten used to the idea of not going (thinking they'd decided that I'm not worthy even before meeting me and seing my work), and now I'm back to counting on my finances (or rather; the lack of them) and making plans..

To be completely honest, I probably could work it out, and it would make my life a hell of a lot easier 'til next year...

But I don't know...

Should I or shouldn't I?

Since meeting that lady for that job-interview a while back I realized the downside to studying art. Especially if you comment on the fact that when it comes to that part of my life; I'm a realist and don't have any ambition of being an artist more than on my own free time.

The reason why I study art is because I'm interested, I want to learn, I want to develop and I want an exchange. I don't want to be the next Picasso, that's ridiculous!

Still, with that in my educational backpack I'm sure it will keep coming up. "So you DON'T want to become an artist? Are you sure? Why?"

Still, re-reading the letter and looking at the schools website I feel that I would want to... I want to learn how to sculpt! Even though I hate oil-paint I want to crawl around on the floor on a huge piece of paper, ruining my clothes with thick oil-paints... And I want to come with them abroad and learn about how it is in other countries....

Maybe...

Either way I've decided to go to that interview at the end of the month. I want to hear what they have to say and ask my questions.. Show off my work and have them tell me if I'm good enough.

Then we'll just see what will happen this fall. Maybe I'll spend another year studying art before I leave for Tokyo next year?

25th, that's the date of my interview! After that we'll see what happens.

However for now, I have to pick out 6 images to bring with me. 3 of which have to be sketches... Do you think they would think that I'm weird(er than usuall) if I bring my hide-portraits? After all they're the ones I'm most proud of at the moment...

Hm.. well, I'll figure it out...
